Where can I find a discount plus sized wedding dress?

I'm looking for something under $1000. Under $500 would be even better. I'm a big, bold, beautiful lady. I need a dress to reflect my attitude and to flatter my wonderfully large figure. Any help?

  1. Have you checked David's Bridal? They have plus sized wedding dresses that aren't too expensive, plus they usually have them in the store to try on.

  4. May I suggest having your dress custom made. I am getting married in October and had two beautiful dresses custom made for me and it only cost me $245 total! I went online to ebay and browsed the weddding dresses that I like.... then I sent it to one of the vendors online... and in a month I had both dresses. The only thing I had to do was get measured which anyone can help you with. Since most dresses are made in china it is cheaper to just buy directly from the vendor. All you would need to do is email the vendor with a picture of the dress you would like. I suggest trying a few on in stores to get a sense of your style and then taking a picture or finding apicture online of the dress you want.   5. Davids Bridal is great for that. Especially because you can try the dress on in your size which really makes a big difference when trying on dresses. Most of the sample sizes in dress shops are a 10 so there is no way to really see what it would look like on you. They clip it to your bra and stuff, but it ends up looking like crap. By trying it on in your size you really get to see the dress. Some people knock them but they do have some really pretty dresses. I got mine there (sz 18w) and I loved it! GL Oh and my dress was about $600.

  13. Hello, I am a plus size woman too. I ordered my dress through Gioavonni's Bridal Boutique. I have my fingers, arms, and legs crossed the whole time! I had read a few ugly bloggers but as it turned out it was the same two just going to a bunch of different sites. I took my chances and I am so glad I did. It's absolutely beautiful and it fits perfect. I feel a little slimmer.
