Dress pinker than expected, so need input on flower color?

Alrighty, so I ordered my dress from one of those discount chinese places. I got pics of the dress today, and I love it, but the color of the flowers on it are pinker than expected, which is totally fine, but now, I think I'm going to have to pick different flowers or get different colors to match it a little better. So any help would be great. The ones I picked were an orange lily, white carnation, and a cream colored rose. But w/ the pink of the dress, I think either the white carnation or cream rose should be changed to maybe a more pink color, but I'm having a hard time picturing it. Here is a link to the pink on the dress http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v37/Shollia/bottomdressside.jpg Any input would be fantastic. Opinions on what color, or maybe even different type of flower, whatever. I really like the idea of the pink tipped roses. I'll have to see if they can get them. I also really like the idea of just adding ribbon or jewels..... I haven't recieved my dress yet (hopefully soon though)... once I do, I'll be able to see in person how it looks and if I should change anything. Thanks so much everyone for the input!

  1. Very nice dress! I would leave the bouquet with ivory or white roses and have a pink ribbon around the piece you are holding and you can find some pink jewels to put in the bouquet with the flowers. That would look awesome! Or you can have a few pink flowers in the bouquet and the rest in the white or ivory color. I think if you have any other color it will be too much. Keep it clean and it will look awesome. This is for the second idea, like this but with the ribbon in pink...http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/75/Bridal_bouquet_white_pink_rose_stephanotis.jpg/600px-Bridal_bouquet_white_pink_rose_stephanotis.jpg
  2. Go for the pink-tipped roses--they are beutiful and vary in shade and intensity such that they would likely blend in with the dress. The link below had bouquets with combo similar to what you described. You should be able to take the swatch from the dress to the florist (or craft shop if you are doing DIY bouquets) and match the flowers.
  3. Perhaps switch the orange lily to a stargazer? That would bring the pink into the picture. Then you could stick with champagne and pink roses. Lisianthus would also be lovely in there. Also some alstromeria could bring more pink as would a few gerber daisies. I would skip the carnations and opt for playing up several shades of pink and champagne.
  4. That is a beautiful gown. I love the flowers on it! For your flowers I think it would be nice to do the orange lilies, white carnations and maybe some Orlando roses. Orlando roses are very beautiful and would go nicely with your dress. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3281/2345238573_3bbdc5b553.jpg?v=0 Or maybe you can do shades of pink roses. That is simple and beautiful: http://www.rosasweddingcreations.com/images/gallery/PinkRoseBouquet.jpg Or: http://www.flowersbyanne.com/cgi-bin/list.cgi?action=detail&fID=713 You could take a picture of your dress over to your florist. Maybe they would be able to pick out a color that would work. I personally think that going with the orange, white and pink colors would look great. Good luck!
  5. I like J's idea about adding the pink jewels, that sounds pretty and very unique. Also, the dress makes a statement, the jewels wouldnt overpower how pretty the dress is, they would just compliment the gown in a very understated way.
  6. What about a little greenery in the boquet?
  7. Dark pink roses & star gazer lilies with some dark green foliage would look lovely.
  8. Pink stargazer lilies bouquet would be beautiful http://floriade.33.websecurestores.com/Portals/0/kXGallery399/long6.jpg http://image2.etsy.com/il_430xN.23568598.jpg
