Jobs For 16 Year Olds?

I really like dressing up but since I don't have any reason to do it now or later in life often, I would like to get a job when I turn 16 that you have to dress up for. The only restraunt around me that you wear a tie at are this chophouse and Olive Garden. My friend's brothers worked at the chophouse but have been there about a year and a half and still washing dishes and the closest Olive Garden is too far. I've thought of JC Penny because then I could wear a suit to work each day and probably get discounts off other dress clothes from there but I don't know if they hire 16 year olds. I don't know if Olive Garden would either. And the Verizon store I'm most likely to go to. They wear suits there everyday and I've seen young guys working there. I am really interested in phones and at 13, I've talked to guys at the stores that I've known more than. One of the guys was very interesting to talk to and I used to go there eveyr week and we would talk about new phones and he told me that when I turned 16, I could apply there and would have a good chance of getting a job. But besides any restraunts, what places can you guys think of that I could work at wear everyday you wear a shirt and tie or even better, shirt tie and vest (like ath the chophouse nearby) or tux or something.

  1. Jcpenneys hires at 16+ Olive garden 21+ Verizon wireless 18+ First off your not 16 yet, and seasonal hiring is remotely over now.
  2. In the US, you can't be hired for most jobs until you are at least 14, and even then, your hours and duties are very limited. Most companies won't hire anyone under 16 or 18. Any company or restaurant that sells alcohol won't hire anyone under 21. When I worked at a movie theater, the uniform for regular employees was dress slacks, company button-down shirt, vest, and bow tie. Managers and assistant managers wore dress suits. However, you need to be 17 to work in a theater if it shows R rated movies, as employees have to enter the individual theaters when movies are showing, and of course if a movie is R rated then nobody under 17 can enter it unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Most sales jobs, especially those that depend on commissions rather than wages, are only too happy to have someone dress up and look sharp. If you can find a moderate to high end clothing store, you might be able to get hired there, once you're old enough.
