Cheap Party Dresses

i was "caught" shoplifting at sears a month ago?

about $ 80 worth of stuff..but here the thing that throws me off...in the paper that the lawyer was holding i had read that supposedly one of the workers saw me grad items and putting them in my bag. when that was the biggest lie in my opinion because i had concealed the items inside the dressing room. either they lied about the report saying that they saw me take the items..or they must have cameras inside the dressing rooms..either way i feel like having cameras shouldnt be allowed inside dressing rooms..even though its for prevention of theft. i say that they lied tho because i was one of those almost close to being pro at what i did..not no more though OBVIOUSLY because i finally got caught. but then i get led to my next question..i had went with another girl that lives in indiana and came to visit my mom. she didnt seem as if she liked me but like a dumb *** i told her we were going to the mall because i wanted to 5 finger discount some bras and clothes..my other theory is that while at the stole she might have placed something in her bag and took it out n the dressing room that was so that the workers could think that we were both shoplifting..we look alike from physical appearance in a way and she could have taken advantage of that to get me caught. im glad i finally got caught though after 14 years of doing it..im 18 out of high school and i know i was a little way too old to be doing immature things like that. for feature advice..if you shoplift and you are reading this PLEASE STOP NOW! you will eventually get caught especially at sears..where they can lie about your report -_- #the criminal is always wrong and the witness may take advantage of their power in hands i will no longer shop lift after this...even though i was addicted to it and even though my mom coudlnt afford to buy me those things..still stealing is bad..but from past experience..my dad is a drug addict and even tho hes been in rehab hundreds of times..he never changes because of it..its up to ones self motivation in order to stop their addiction.i now have 6 months probation 48 hrs of community service and i ask myself if its worth it? its really not..im going to have to pay $700 for trying to steal $80 a pain in the butt..but after this is all over with im going to collage and hopefully get paid high than some stuff loss prevention worker ;) i never stepped foot at sears till that day..sears clothes never really appealed to me but like i said i been stealing since i was like 4 and i had the thrill to be taking something that my mom couldn't afford. not every one thinks the same so don't judge..i have beliefs too. some beliefs can be right some arent. i dont blame my mother for not having enough money to buy me things all the time...i blame myself for having to want to take things on my own hands the way i did. plus.. im those that are better off learn through self experience..i walked into the court by myself..i walk out by myself. bretton jones..no one cares how much you get paid or what ever..i just wanted a straight forward question not some little opinion.i have rights too just because im a convict doesnt me i get to let sears walk all over me with me shoplifting..if they lied to the law..what gives them more right to lie to the law than i do..if they lied that they seen me take something.i may be a criminal..but i still have my rights.

  1. you shouldn't be shoplifting. if you think you got caught via a security camera in the dressing room that is probably a worse offense on their part than yours of shoplifting. maybe you should get a lawyer. but really, no stealing.
  2. They're not going to care about the details, just the crime, I wish you good luck with the charges and hopefully you'll never do it again.
  3. Well I'm glad you see the error of your ways. They shouldn't have cameras, you're right, but you shouldn't have been stealing anyways. Glad to see you giving the advice not to do that. That does say a lot about you, even if you stole things. At least you realize that you've got to take what's coming and then make a change. Just get this over with and move on and please don't shoplift anymore.
  4. I work for 80$ worth of stuff, and you steal it. You act like sears is bad because YOU think they lied. Did i just answer that? no...it wasnt even a question.
  5. You started at 4 if you have been doing it for 14 years and you are 18 thats very young age to start Sounds like your in a fix and need a attorney.I do believe its against law to have cameras in dressing rooms but that should not matter you are stealing and it is wrong You might need to see a therapist because sounds like you have a addiction and there is a disorder related to shop lifting You must get a thrill out of it Stop it is wrong and will get you in real bad trouble anything over 100 here is a felony and can serve time in prison. Why cant you pay for items you need ? You have a real problem Did they apprehend you at the store and taken in and did they find the items on you or in purse? Lots of things sound strange to me
  6. Not quite sure what your question is, but if it is about the law proceedings for shoplifting for a first offense, you are looking at a large fine, education classes, community service, etc. Here is a law article on shoplifting: http://www.dallastexascriminallawyer.com/articles/shoplifting/ It would still be petty theft, but a worse charge as it was more than $50.
