Cheap Party Dresses

Anybody know a discount wedding dress website or store in ny or nj.?

I am helping my friend who lives in England plan for her wedding. I am in NY and she will get married in NY or NJ She needs help with finding a plus size wedding dress that is not expensive or even a rental. I have no idea about places in England. I saw a few websites like, target and lane bryant. Anyone have any ideas?

Try David's Bridal, they have all sizes and alot of the time they do $99 sales, I know they have them out here on Long Island NY, and they are pretty much anywhere.. http://www.davidsbridal.com/index.jsp I tried on a lot of dresses at David's and they are helpful and have TONS of different styles in EVERY size.. Another place to check is Ebay, sounds crazy but there are a lot of dresses there for a good price and if the seller is desperate, try an email and talk the price down-when it comes to wedding dresses the price on the tag is only a suggestion!!! I talked my dress down $250. Good Luck!
2. I would check out consignment stores, or the better Goodwill Thrift Stores. I understand in England, they have Sally stores. These are Salvation Army stores. Whether they carry wedding dresses I don't know. But I know they do at the better Goodwill Industries thrift store locations. I have seen some beautiful ones, over the years in shopping at a few. As for finding one in a larger size, it's the luck of the shopper. You never know what you'll find, til you go looking. The want ads in most big cities carry listings of wedding dresses, naturally used only once. You might scan them and be on top of them. Maybe a listing will come up for a larger size for your friend. I would check the Goodwills tho. And maybe you could find material to match that could be sewn inside the waist or something like that. Anyway, that's a couple of places to start looking.
