Best way to keep strapless tops & dresses in place?....? I have some really cute strapless dresses & tops, but as all ladies know, strapless equals a constant battle with gravity. And I always have a problem with the edge of my top or dress folding into my strapless bras. I am small-framed with a small chest, so there's definitely not much that 'naturally' holds my top or dress up, if you know what I mean. And I definitely can't go completely bra-less. I've considered the little adhesive bra 'petals', such as what Frederick's of Hollywood offers, but feel like they would appear to flatten my chest, which I don't want. Or maybe the self-adhesive backless, strapless 'bras' also, but am unsure of how natural the look would be. I've also considered, & am leaning towards, getting the little clothing adhesive tapes, to hold my top or dress in place. Ladies, any thoughts/suggestions would be SO much appreciated. Problem with strapless dresses? I've seen a few answers here with people complaining that dresses people were asking about were strapless. I was just wondering what was wrong with strapless dresses? I've never see anyone explain why they don't like them. Personally, I think if the dress look good on someone & flaters their figure there is nothing wrong with the dress. I had a strapless dress, after swearing I'd never buy one, & adored it. Out of the 50 dresses I tried on it flatered me more than any others & it wouldn't have looked right with straps in my opinion. So I'm just cruious, do you like strapless dresses? If not, is there a reason? Wanted to throw out there that I myself have a large chest (36DD), which was why I never wanetd a streapless dress. I found one of really high guality though, which didn't feel like it was falling & gave me fabulous support. Another reason I picked it actually, I felt more support in it than some dresses with straps.
Why are strapless dresses about the only style you can find when they are not flattering on most people? You can't hardly find anything that isn't strapless unless you have it custom made. Even the rare dresses that do have straps of any kind are not flattering styles either. I've noticed it doesn't matter if it's a bridal gown or a bridesmaid dress.

Why do so many brides wear strapless dresses? The style is not flattering on most women. Just because that is all a store carries, that doesn't mean you are required to go with that style. Getting a dress custom made is not much more expensive and it's fairly easy to do if you know where to go.
What do you think of the strapless wedding dress phenomenon? I've found in browsing wedding dresses that it's nearly impossible to find a designer that doesn't have their collections dominated by strapless dresses. Is it just my opinion or are strapless dresses really that sexy? I think bikinis show off ten times more so I see it as an exaggeration but I love 'em anyway and they sell well in my mom's shop.
